VeriEye Embedded iris identification technology is designed for mobile biometric systems developers and integrators. The technology assures robust iris enrollment under various conditions and iris matching in 1-to-1 and 1-to-many modes with PC-like reliability.

VeriEye Embedded is available as a software development kit that enables development of stand-alone or Web-based applications for hand-held or embedded devices that are running Android OS.

  • VeriEye Embedded algorithm features and capabilities. The algorithm is a port of VeriEye 2.6 PC-based algorithm for ARM-based processors. VeriEye Embedded provides the same quality of PC-based iris recognition on embedded and mobile devices. The algorithm is able to detect irises under various difficult conditions, like visual noise, lighting reflections or obstructions in eye images. Gazing-away eyes and eyes with narrowed eyelids are accepted. Read more
  • VeriEye Embedded 1.1 SDK contents. The SDK is intended for biometric systems developers and integrators and allows rapid development of biometric applications for devices that are running Android OS. Embedded components for iris template extraction and matching, as well as Java programming samples and tutorials are included. Read more
  • System requirements. A device that is running Android 2.3 (API 9) OS or newer is required. 1 GHz processor recommended for processing an iris in less than 1 second. Read more
  • Technical specifications. A VeriEye Embedded-based Java application running on a device with 1 GHz processor can extract a biometric template from an iris image in 0.9 seconds, matches up to 8,000 irises per second and uses 2.2 kilobytes for an iris template in a database. Read more
  • Reliability and performance test results. VeriEye Embedded has been tested with iris images from standard databases. ROC charts for ICE2005 Exp1, ND-IRIS-0405 and Bath IRISDB1600 databases are available. Read more

Licensing, prices and ordering

  • Licensing options. To develop a VeriEye Embedded-based product, an integrator should obtain the VeriEye Embedded SDK.
