BioWolf DEZ
BioWolf DEZ from BioRugged is a hand-held smart terminal designed to support biometric and document verification workflows in a single unit.
The device can be equipped with several fingerprint reader options for scanning four finger slaps, 13 MP camera for face capture, and a contactless iris scanner capable of capturing both irises simultaneously. Additional functionality includes a built-in MRZ reader for document scanning, dual antenna NFC reader for eID and ePassport reading.
According to the manufacturer, the device has wireless communication support, which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2G/3G/4G (LTE), as well as GPS support. The manufacturer also specifies that the terminal features hot-swappable battery and IP65 dustproof and waterproof casing, compliant with MIL-STD-810G standards, which makes it suitable for field operations.
BioWolf DEZ is provided with pre-installed Android OS and allows to deploy custom software.
Two specific fingerprint reader options and one iris camera model are supported by Neurotechnology SDKs.
Neurotechnology SDKs allow to use the device for fingerprint, face and iris recognition:

- MegaMatcher On Card 2025.2 SDK – smart card based fingerprint, face and iris verification.
- VeriFinger 2025.2 SDK – fingerprint capture and identification.
- VeriLook 2025.2 SDK – face capture and identification.
- VeriEye 2025.2 SDK – iris capture and identification.
