Full-Stack Engineer

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our Natural Language Processing team at Neurotechnology.

StockGeist.ai is a financial social-sentiment analytics platform for retail traders, developed within our NLP department. It shows who is being talked about across social media and news, what is spiking unusually, and – uniquely – why, explained in plain English. Behind the dashboard sits a full data pipeline that scrapes social and news sources, runs them through our sentiment models, and serves the results through a real-time web application.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will work across the entire product rather than a single layer. You'll build and improve dashboard features in a Next.js, React and TypeScript application – ranking views, ticker pages, watchlists, charts, and the sentiment surfaces that make the product distinctive. You'll extend our KeystoneJS, MongoDB and GraphQL backend, including schemas, custom mutations, Stripe billing flows and transactional email. You'll help maintain the Python pipeline that powers everything: scrapers, data processors, DistilBERT sentiment models served via TorchServe, and storage and search in Elasticsearch and Redis. You'll also work with Docker Compose across a small server fleet, monitoring pipeline health and helping keep production stable. StockGeist.ai is a small, hands-on team, which means broad exposure, real ownership of the pieces you take on, and code that reaches real users quickly.

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or equivalent practical experience
• Solid programming fundamentals in at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, and genuine willingness to learn the other
• Understanding of core web concepts: HTTP/REST, JSON, and the basics of how a frontend communicates with a backend
• Familiarity with databases and the ability to reason about data (SQL or NoSQL; we use MongoDB and Elasticsearch)
• Comfort with Git and collaborative development
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and techniques
• Good English, clear communication, and the habit of asking questions when stuck
• Curiosity about finance, markets, or NLP – expertise is not required, but interest helps

• Experience with React, Next.js, or another modern frontend framework
• Exposure to GraphQL, Docker, or cloud/Linux server basics
• Hands-on work with machine learning, NLP, or data pipelines, including coursework or side projects
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis, or message-queue and streaming concepts
• Interest in financial data, trading, or social-media analytics
