Neurotechnology's advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies powered the "Santa Claus Phone Line", delivering a fully automated continuous 24/7 interactive entertainment during the recent holiday season. Despite the playful nature of this deployment, the same technology can be directly applied to real-world business needs with automated call centers delivering customer support, handling appointment scheduling, and logging call outcomes.
- 24/7 Availability
- 5 parallel Calls in peak time
- 2 minutes Average call duration
- 2 × NVIDIA H100 GPU cards on backend
Precision Captures the nuances of holiday wishes
Dialogue The conversation flows naturally, unlike a recording
Delivery Maintains a warm,
cheerful tone
Foundation Built to automate high-volume text and voice data
The project showcased the practical application of Neurotechnology's Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities, combining speech-to-text (STT), Large Language Model (LLM) and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies. By handling up to 5 calls in parallel with the average engagement time of around 2 minutes, the system showed its ability to manage complex, natural-sounding conversations while maintaining a personalized and joyful experience for each caller, regardless of their age. The phone line was intended for users of various ages (children under the age of 14 had to be supervised by parents).

In preparation for the holiday season, Neurotechnology strived to build a fully functioning, automated voice line capable of understanding context and responding instantly.
AI-Based NLP Process
The AI Santa was built upon a sophisticated pipeline that mirrored the complexity of modern business call center workflows. The process consists of three main technological stages:
1. Audio Transcription (Speech-to-Text)
When a child or adult speaks into the phone, the system utilizes Neurotechnology's Speech-to-Text (STT) engine to transcribe the audio into text in real-time. The system is tuned for the Lithuanian language, ensuring it captures the nuances of holiday wishes accurately, even from younger callers.
2. Contextual Understanding (Large Language Model)
The transcribed text was then processed by a Large Language Model (LLM). This stage acts as the "brain" of Santa, allowing the system to understand the intent and query of the caller, remember the context of the conversation and provide a cohesive and relevant response. This makes the dialogue flow more naturally as opposed to a pre-recorded holiday greeting.
3. Voice Synthesis (Text-to-Speech)
Once the response is generated, the Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine converts the text back into audio. The Santa voice was trained on a vast amount of data to ensure the tone is warm and the message is delivered in a festive and pleasant manner.

Applications of NLP Technologies
While the AI Santa project was a festive service, the same underlying technology foundation is designed to automate large-scale text and voice data flows across various sectors:
- Call Centers and Customer Support: Streamlining appointments for banks, swimming pools, beauty parlors, and more, where registration for services is needed. The system can also be trained to provide more information on products and services.
- Governmental and Medical Institutions: Delivering 24/7 information services and automated appointment scheduling to ensure faster access to urgent assistance when it is needed most.
- Media and Entertainment: NLP tools can help transcribe news bulletins, simplify subtitle preparation and streamline overall content creation.
Hardware
To ensure that the Santa Claus phone line ran smoothly, Neurotechnology deployed the solution on local infrastructure, using two NVIDIA H100 GPU cards. These cards did most of the processing for voice and text data. Another server was also needed for managing call logic and user traffic (answering the calls, handling multiple users, and ending the call).
A similar architecture and infrastructure could be adapted for a business use case that requires a fully automated AI voice assistant.
Neurotechnology NLP Products
Neurotechnology creates Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions designed to increase task automation. These products enable both individual users and businesses to transcribe, analyze and generate spoken language with high precision.
The Neurotechnology AI Platform is a cloud-based tool designed for Natural Language Processing tasks. The platform enables organizations to easily integrate AI into their operations through an intuitive API or web interface.
Neurotechnology AI SDK is a Software Development Kit (SDK) dedicated to developers wanting to create Natural Language Processing solutions themselves. The SDK features an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Engine for accurate transcription and a Speaker Diarization Engine, which identifies and partitions audio recordings based on individual speakers.
