Product description
The Resident Identity Management System is a comprehensive platform that manages citizen registration from pre-enrollment to secure, smart card based credential issuance. The system captures ten fingerprints and one facial image for each person to ensure accurate identification and eliminate duplicates. Built on a robust client-server architecture, it operates through 400 client units and 30 servers across the current deployment. So far, over 8 million residents have been enrolled, and 1.5 million smart cards have been issued. These cards store ISO 19794-2 biometric templates and function as multipurpose credentials enabling financial transactions, healthcare access, transportation use, and other public and private services. The system is already in use in Nigeria by the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Health Insurance Management Agency.
