Custom Database

Postby Shahriar » Dec 12, 2017 11:48

Hello,
I am working with your Neurotec Biometric 10.0 SDK Trial. I have followed your tutorials and verify/identify/enroll face and fingerprint using your SDK. Since now there has been only 3 columns in my table, SubjectId ,Id and template. All is working superbly well but I was wondering if I want to work with my custom Table, or want to have extra column on the mentioned table. Can I work with them as I have worked with SubjectId. What is the procedure.

Hi,

Use the NBiometricClient.Get() method to get the NSubject from the database.
Also if there are some additional fields in the database, which are used for enrolling additional biographic or custom data, then you should configure the NBiometricClient with that information. Read the documentation, section “4.2.1.3 Biographic and Custom Data Support”.

Hi,

Can I connect to two tables (Subjects, test) of a database from my application?

Hello,

NBiometricClient can work only with one table of the database. It is not possible to configure NBiometricClient to work with multiple tables at the same time. So if you need data from two tables, then you should consider to have a one table in the database, which would contain information from both tables.

Hello,

could you please specify, what do you mean by saying edit the field?
If you need to add new record with custom fields, then please read the documentation, section “4.2.1.3 Biographic and Custom Data Support”, which explains how to define the NBiographicData and add it to NBiometricClient. Also it explains that you need set the custom property with some value by using NSubject.SetProperty() method.
Once you have such NSubject with custom properties, then you can Enroll it as new record, or you can perform Update() in order to update the current record in the database.
