SentiVeillance SDK - Displaying Web Cam Video

Hi Guys,

Currently, I am using SentiVeillance SDK for Live Face Recognition in WPF application.
I was wondering if I could use another API for displaying the video from Web Cam but use SentiVeillance SDK for detecting subject face and draw the subject rectangle.

Can someone advice me?

Example:
1) Using wpfmediakit control to display web cam video:
http://wpfmediakit.codeplex.com/
2) Using SentiVeillance SDK to track subject appear and draw the subject rectangle

I did try out the above approach.
However, when using SentiVeillance SDK (NSurveillance.Start() method) to start the SentiVeillance tracking, the control (wpfmediakit) that I am using to display the web cam video is not able to be displayed.

Is it above approach possible?

Thank you for the help.

Best Regards,
Lucas

Hello Lucas,

Only one application could use the same webcam at the same time. So you will not be able to use from our SDK and other API at the same time.

Hi Vaidasz,

Thank you for the reply.

It is one application but two different API.
Using wpfmediakit web cam control to display the web cam video.
Using SentiVeillance SDK to detect recognize face.

The above approach means that wpfmediakit API will access the camera and the underlying SentiVeillance API will also access the camera.

Is this possible?

Best Regards,
Lucas

Video stream cannot be used by 2 applications/API/functions at the same time. So it is not possible to do that.
