More than one thread from same process attempting to enter S

Postby Hubble » Jul 23, 2017 09:51

Hi

I used SDK 9 and developed an application which uses fingerprints for identification.
The application works fine for hours/days, but sometimes I get a report from costomer site.

In the log the message:
>> More than one thread from same process attempting to enter SDK
appeared.

In the rare events when this error occurs, the finger scanning process was cancelled by >> biometricClient.Cancel();

Info:
I start a normal Finger detection by:
biometricClient.CreateTask(...
biometricClient.BeginPerformTask(...
normaly after cancelling, I get an normal OnCaptureCompleted event that cancels the operation correctly.

In error cases I get an
>> ErrorInvalid connection handle
message in the biometricTask.Error.InnerException value.

The next fingerprint attempt triggers the described reaction.

Thank you

Hello Hubble,

Please provide SDK revision number(can be found in SDK root directory, in Revision.txt file).
Send me full exception stack trace.
What exact scanner you are using?
Can you reproduce this issue using our samples?

Scanner: Lumidigma V302-40-01

Sorry I can't provide you with a stack trace, I only got the message from the customer and
it's not possible for me to work at the device myself because it's stationed far away.
This event doesn't happen often and the system is not under my controll,
so it will take a while until I will get that info. (weeks or months)

I provided the customer with a workaround, that restarts the biometrics. So it's not time critical.
But for further develepment it would be very helpfull to catch that problem.

The error does not appear on my test system and I unfortunately cannot reproduce it.

Thanks
