Problems loading devices when converting project to spring

Postby javygr1909 » Jun 20, 2017 19:00

Hi,
I developed a project to capture faces, with instances of the kind
Code: Select all
CaptureFace face = new CaptureFace

works fine, but when injected with Spring
Code: Select all
@autowired private CaptureFace
it does not load the devices list (cameras)
Has anyone else had these kind of problems?

I even made a project (that works if I run it separately) to be called from the Spring project, and still does not work.

Can someone help?

Thanks!!

Hello javygr1909,

Do you get any errors?

Make sure that Ndm plugins (more specific for cameras "SDK\Bin\Win*\NdmMedia.dll") are loaded(if required plugins are not loaded, then devices won't be detected), you can check that via NPluginManager:
Code: Select all
         // Print out loaded plugins (NdmMedia.dll name should be "Media")
         for(int i = 0; i < NPluginManager.getInstances()[0].getPlugins().size(); i++){
            System.out.println(NPluginManager.getInstances()[0].getPlugins().get(i).getFileName());
         }

Usually, it is enough to store NDM plugins to application's working directory.
